Email from a Styx fan from Massachusetts: |
"Hi Cameron,
My name is Brian from Massachusetts. Big Styx fan. And even bigger
fan of you guys now! Do you have or are you going to be putting
together a DVD of one of your
shows? Good way for fans to enjoy you guys who live too far away to
check out a live gig, know what I mean?
Peace! And by the way. I think you
sound identical...if not in fact BETTER.....than Dennis
DeYoung!
Un=censored=
believable!
Take care!"

"OK, folks, I have to tell you.. I saw this
band on Saturday night, and they completely blew me away. I'm not lying
when I say these guys give the real Styx a run for their money. Michelle
can back me up on that, because she was there too, and we both had a
complete blast.
I am very much impressed with these guys, especially the lead singer,
Cameron. He sang songs by Tommy, Dennis, and JY, and he was spot on,
including all of the high notes, and he sang every note with gusto.
I also thought Steve (The Doc) was amazing as well. As the only
guitarist, he channeled both Tommy and JY effortlessly.
Brett, you were awesome too. Michelle and I sang our guts out, and had a
great time. It was odd being the only "front-row heaux" there...
we should have brought lingerie. I don't remember the set list, but
there were some surprises, esp. "High Enough", and it's always good to
hear songs the real Styx doesn't do anymore, such as Rockin' The
Paradise and Best Of Times.
Although Roboto is not anywhere near my favorite, it was fun to hear the
whole thing again too (Dennis does these songs in his solo show, at
least). So anyway, folks, please please DO see these guys if they play
in your area. You will be amazed, I guarantee. I am hoping to see them
again as often as possible." |

"Great show. You guys pull that stuff off very nice. You had the
crowd and you held them. That is always a big deal to me. I think it is a great
line up." |

Jack Devine, keyboardist
from the variety band "Off The Cuff" attended and photographed
the Paradise Theatre performance at Bourbon Street in Concord along
with guitarist Lance Beem. Jack sent this comment the next day: |
|
"Lance and I were extremely
impressed. 'Snowblind' was a high point for me. I talked to one guy in
the front who said “If I close my eyes, I think Styx is actually on
stage"! |
